Cherishing the outcome of FAPE.  The Consortium has partnered with a phenomenal group of advocates in our solution provider network that is winning for our children, particularly those from the most vulnerable circumstances.  Over the past four years, lay advocates have taken on school division hired outside counsel (i.e. Reed Smith LLP) and won significant victories in administrative Due Process Hearings for Special Education in protecting the implementation of FAPE (Fair and Appropriate Education) for our student learners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" src=\"https:\/\/virginiaconsortium.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/pexels-photo-3931634.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-398 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/virginiaconsortium.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/pexels-photo-3931634.jpeg 500w, https:\/\/virginiaconsortium.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/pexels-photo-3931634-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Prior to our engagement as advocates in the process, the school division had a 98% win record against parents trying to secure the implementation of FAPE.  This is no small feat!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, school divisions that are bad actors shudder when they hear that at a student-centered advocate will be participating in the IEP process.
